Strong reading habits are built on routine, not willpower. Attach reading to something you already do every day — after supper, before bed, on the trotro to school — and it quickly becomes automatic.
Keep books within reach. A reader is far more likely to pick up a book that's on the table than one tucked away on a shelf. Variety helps too: mix challenging titles with easy, fun ones so reading never feels like only work.
Track progress in a way that motivates you. A simple list of finished books, or a goal of a chapter a day, gives a sense of momentum. Celebrate small wins — the habit grows from there.
